During the shooting of the most famous and controversial song of this film, ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’, the director had said something about the breasts of an actress that the beauty had become watery with shame.
There was a lot of controversy regarding the lyrics of the song ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’ from ‘Khalnayak’. But very few people know that director Subhash Ghai had paid very close attention to the perfection of every scene of this film as well as this song. Apart from Madhuri Dixit, the song also features actress Neena Gupta.
Neena Gupta was not ready for the first role
Neena Gupta has told in her autobiography ‘Sach Kahoon To’ that when Subhash Ghai called her to cast him in the film ‘Khalnayak’, she was not ready for that role. But when he heard the song ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’ for the first time, he found it very catchy. This song was sung by his friend Ila Arun. But she did not like that role and that is why she did not want to sign the film. However, Subhash Ghai somehow convinced him.
The director had talked about ‘filling the bodice’
On the day when the shooting of the song ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’ was to take place, Neena reached the set. Here the costume department made her wear a tribal Gujarati dress. When Neena went in front of Subhash Ghai wearing that dress, Subhash Ghai started shouting after seeing her. He said- ‘No, no, no, fill something.’ Neena felt very embarrassed after hearing these words of the director because he was talking about her ‘bodily filling’.
The song was shot wearing a padded bra
Now the shooting of the song could not be done that day. Then the next day Neena was again presented with another dress in front of director Subhash Ghai. This time the costume department had added a padded bra to Neena’s dress and the director was satisfied this time. Then this song was shot and besides attracting controversies, it was also a big hit.
